There are people who spend their entire lives in the same house, their childhood home where their family's past rests. Benigno, at eighty-seven, still sleeps, eats, and dreams in the home where he was born, the home rooted in the earth yet reaching for the sky. The house stands alone, along with Benigno and his tortoise, Totó, caught between the limbo of memories, the rituals of daily life, and the anticipation of the final day.
